Courses

Liverpool County F.A. are proud to be the leading provider of workforce development and mentoring opportunities across Merseyside. 2009 saw the introduction of a range of new age appropriate and youth specific coach education courses to complement the existing workforce development provision.

The 2010 programme provides the traditional Coach Education Courses (Level 1 - Level 3/UEFA B) together with a series of specialist courses including Welfare workshops, Goalkeeping, Coaching Disabled Footballers and Age Appropriate Courses.

Through the provision of good quality, diverse workforce development opportunities we are able to service each individual that contributes to developing the game at grassroots level across Merseyside. So if you are a coach, manager, administrator or parent there is support for you!

Our courses are run all across the county at the following venues,

Knowsley - Arncliffe Community Centre/ Kirby Sports College / Huyton College for Arts and Sports (NEW LEARNING CENTRES!)

St Helens - Clockface Minors Welfare

We have reduced the number of CORE Level 1 Courses nin the 2010 Programme. In order to effectively service the number of FA affiliated teams across the Merseyside and ensure that newly qualified coaches are delivering in the grassroots game, we are working with all leagues and Charter Standard Clubs to run bespoke courses for their members. Please contact your league / club to discuss the opportunity to run your own Level 1 Course! Benefits of running your own courses are as follows,

  • The Club/League decide the course dates (i.e they fit around your schedule)
  • The cost is reduced - LCFA have ring-fenced funding to support Charter Standard Clubs / Clubs working towards CS
  • You can be safe in the knowledge that all candidates will return to deliver a quality experience within your club/league.

What do you need?

* You need a minimum of 16 candidates (16+ years of age)

* You need a facility that meets 1st 4 Sport minimum standards.  (A member of the LCFA Development Team will conduct a full risk assessment of the facility prior to sanctioning the course)
