Course Objectives
On completion of the course the applicant will be able to:
• Learn basic coaching techniques.
• Understand how to develop and improve goalkeeping techniques.
• Organise and fulfil progressive, technical and functional practices.
• Maintain the health and safety of players and other coaches.
• Maintain high standards of conduct to promote Association Football.
Entry Requirements
Applicants need to be above the minimum age of 16 years of age and it is highly recommended that all candidates have attended an Emergency Aid and Child Protection courses prior to attending this course. The Football Association will not be able to certify any candidate until they have completed these mandatory courses. The maximum amount of candidates for this course is 16 people. On successfully completing the course, applicants shall receive in association with the FA, a Level 1 Learning Goalkeeping Coaching Award.
