F.A. Emergency Aid Course

Many injuries which are sustained in a game of football are fortunately only minor, but major injuries do occur. The Football Association recommend that every club throughout the County Association should provide a trained first aider who attends their every game.

Workshop Objectives:

The three hour workshop is a combination of both practical and theory work, with no examination necessary. Applicants will receive guidance in the following aspects on Emergency Aid:

• Resuscitation of an unconscious person,
• Major bleeding;
• Choking;
• Treatment of related football injuries.

Entry Requirements:

There are no formal pre-requisites; however applicants need to be over sixteen years of age. On successfully completing the workshop applicants shall be awarded in Partnership with the FA, an Emergency Aid Certificate.

Course Programme:

This workshop takes place at the Liverpool Soccer Centre, Walton Hall Park, Liverpool.
The cost of participating in this workshop is £22.
