Disability Football

Merseyside has a growing reputation nationally not only the number of opportunities available to the players with a disability but also the quality of the provision on offer. The level of funding that has been accessed locally to support disability specific projects is one of the highest in the country and is testament to the hard work and ambition of all the partners involved.

Liverpool County FA are determined to provide all disabled people with the pathway to reach their potential as a player, coach, referee or administrator. In 2010 in partnership with the support of Big Lottery Funding, the County FA employed their first full time Disability Football Development Officer. The aim of this role is to increase football opportunities for people with disabilities across Merseyside.
