The Merseyside Ability Counts League was established in September 2009 and has provided football opportunities for players with a disability across Merseyside. The League currently caters for 5 Divisions:
Open Age Male Mental Health
Open Age Male Pan Disability
U18s Mixed Powered Wheelchair
U16 Female Pan Disability
U12s Mixed Pan Disability
Liverpool FA in partnership with the Merseyside Disability Football Advisory Group members are further developing the league with the Everton Foundation overseeing the delivery of the Open Age Male Mental Health, U18s Mixed Powered Wheelchair and U16 Female Pan Disability Divisions.
The league is operated as a development tool that demonstrates flexible, inclusive practice that accommodates all disabilities.
