The Liverpool County FA Education programme provides comprehensive curriculum and out of curriculum initiatives to support and develop young people, teachers and local Charter Standard Clubs. As part of the 2009-2012 National Game Strategy, football in Education will play a key role in increasing participation and raising standards at a local level as well providing a skilled workforce to deliver football in schools.
Liverpool County FA have invested in the delivery of the following initiatives which are available to all schools within Merseyside –
- School to Club Links
- Junior Football Organisers Course
- Continued Professional Development for Teachers
- Step into Sport Programme
As of September 2007 the FA no recognise the Charter Standard Schools Programme. As yet there has been no formal accreditation to replace the programme, however it is anticipated that a national programme will be launched in 2010 to replace Charter Standard Schools.
