In the summer of 2007, Liverpool County FA successfully confirmed in conjunction with Sport England the establishment of two FA Girl’s Centre of Excellences at Everton and Liverpool.
The purpose of the Centres is to identify players of outstanding ability and place them in a technical and education programme designed to produce excellence in conjunction with personal development (LTPD). All Centres’ within the North West region participate against one another in weekly non competitive matches. Centre trials are organised at the beginning of each season with further trials can also be organised during the season in conjunction with Centre Officials. For more information on the objectives of the Girls’ Centre of Excellence please download the FA Rules and Regulations document or for more information please contact Nicky O’Donnell.
At Liverpool County FA we have a reputable Volunteer Programme designed to encourage participation in every capacity of football including, coaching, refereeing and administration. The programme works in conjunction with Merseyside Sports Partnership and FA initiative Step Into Sport. The programme’s main objective is the personal development and education of each volunteer for the overall progression of football within the Merseyside area.
