Discipline

Changing the perceptions

Most people see the Discipline side of the County FA as a 'money making' exercise. The role of the Discipline Team is to ensure that the Rules and Regulations of The FA and County FA are upheld and to enforce good discipline and fair-play in the grassroots game.

We endeavour to be firm but fair when enforcing our remit and to that effect we are pleased to announce the launch of the Discipline Handbook ( please see related documents) The Handbook has been designed to help clubs understand the discipline process, how to complete the forms and the timescales involved. All forms must be returned, completed correctly along with the correct monies or you run the risk of further charges.

Clubs playing at Step 1 down to Step 6 of the National league System are dealt with under a match-based suspension system in line with football played above that level.

Clubs playing at Step 7 and below, including Youth and Sunday football, will continue to be dealt with according to a time-based suspension system.

If a player participates at both levels then the punishment will be based on the level at which the misconduct was reported.
