Referees Secretary Required

Due to retirement of the current post holder Liverpool County FA is looking to recruit a part time Referees Secretary. The role is to provide a high level of administrative support to our busy Referees Department.

The person appointed will need to have excellent computer skills including a sound knowledge of Microsoft programs. The ability to multi task and handle a busy work schedule is essential. You must be a team player with a cheerful ‘can do’ attitude, have the ability to use your own initiative and have a reasonable understanding, preferably experience of, football administration.

 The post is based at the County Headquarters, Liverpool Soccer Centre, Liverpool
 Hours of work (24hrs per week) are normally from Monday to Friday with flexible options being agreed.
 Starting Salary will be £10,256 per annum according to experience.

The main tasks for this role will include the following:

Responsibility for organising County Assessor appointments, liaise with the FA Referees Department, County Cup and FA appointments, Match Official appointments, Referee Course Administration.

 To assist in maintaining the County FA’s Computer Administration System
 Dealing with Basic Referees Courses
 Appoint Assessors to all levels of the games to ensure that a 50% level of coverage is maintained
 Assessor and Referee’s continuation training courses
 Liaise with the FA Referees Dept
 Administer and recommend promotional candidates
