Due to retirement of the current post holder Liverpool County FA is looking to recruit a part time Referees Secretary. The role is to provide a high level of administrative support to our busy Referees Department.
The person appointed will need to have excellent computer skills including a sound knowledge of Microsoft programs. The ability to multi task and handle a busy work schedule is essential. You must be a team player with a cheerful ‘can do’ attitude, have the ability to use your own initiative and have a reasonable understanding, preferably experience of, football administration.
The post is based at the County Headquarters, Liverpool Soccer Centre, Liverpool
Hours of work (24hrs per week) are normally from Monday to Friday with flexible options being agreed.
Starting Salary will be £10,256 per annum according to experience.
The main tasks for this role will include the following:
Responsibility for organising County Assessor appointments, liaise with the FA Referees Department, County Cup and FA appointments, Match Official appointments, Referee Course Administration.
To assist in maintaining the County FA’s Computer Administration System
Dealing with Basic Referees Courses
Appoint Assessors to all levels of the games to ensure that a 50% level of coverage is maintained
Assessor and Referee’s continuation training courses
Liaise with the FA Referees Dept
Administer and recommend promotional candidates
