Several Coach Education Courses were launched by the FA in 2008. Although in their infancy, the new courses sit alongside the traditional FA Coach Education strand and complement existing provision (see below). The courses have attracted a huge amount of interest across the country and we are delighted to confirm that Liverpool FA in partnership with the Padgate High School will be holding a
Youth Award Module 1: Developing the Environment
Dates: Sat 20th June, Sun 21st June
Sat 27th June, Sun 28th June
Venue: Padgate High School, Warrington
Time: 9am – 4pm
Cost: £175
Prerequisites:
Candidates must be FA Level 1 or
Qualified Teacher Status + Age Appropriate 1 Day Module
Course Duration: 32 hours over 4 days (full day)
This 4 day course forms part 1 of the 3 part ‘Youth Award’. Module 1 has recently been launched and it is anticipated that modules 2 and 3 will follow in 2009. This course aimed at coaches, at all levels, who wish to extend their knowledge of coaching the 5-11 year old player. There are generic strands relating to teaching and learning, motivation and self-esteem that are suitable for most coaches.
NB. Changes in the FA’s Charter Standard Development status as of 09/10 requires Development Clubs to have x1 coach achieve the FA Youth Award Module 1
