The Liverpool County FA is fully supporting this year’s Football Shirt Friday – a fund-raising day run by the Bobby Moore Fund – which is to be held on Friday 28 April.
It’s the day of the year where everyone’s encouraged to wear their football shirts to work – and donate £2 to help beat bowel cancer, the illness which ended World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore’s life at just 51.
All staff at our Walton Hall Park offices are being encouraged to wear their football shirts to work, and we’re encouraging everybody across Liverpool to do the same. Share your photos with us via Facebook, Twitter (@Liverpool_CFA) and Instagram (@Liverpool_FA)!
Bobby’s wife Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK to raise money for research into the disease. To donate £2*, just text Goal002 to 70070 – or, to donate online, visit FootballShirtFriday.org.*Texts charged at £2 plus a standard rate text (age 16+, UK mobiles only). Cancer Research UK will receive 100% of this donation. Full Ts&Cs at https://www.justgiving.com/en/charities-terms-and-conditions
