New CPD Dates & Times Now Confirmed

After receiving a huge amount of feedback from our local grassroots coaches via last year’s Grassroots Survey, Liverpool County FA has meticulously gone through all comments received and is pleased to announce FIVE new three-hour CPD (continued personal development) evenings taking place at Walton Hall Park.

The first five of what will become ten new CPD evenings for 2017 are as follows, with each taking place at the Liverpool County FA’s headquarters (L4 9XP).

Thursday 4 May – 6.30pm to 9.30pm

An Introduction to the New Level 2 and Coaching Young Players

This CPD event is geared towards giving coaches an insight into the new FA Level 2 Coaching Award in Football and prepares them for what they can expect from the new course which now incorporates the old Youth Award Modules 1 & 2. Additionally we will be using the evening as a refresher on the Youth Award Modules and how they remain an integral part of The FA’s coaching strategy.

Thursday 8 June – 6.30pm to 9.30pm
Managing Parents’ Behaviour and Their Expectations

This CPD evening will look to provide support, advice and guidance on how to effectively deal with parents on match days and at training whilst also aiming to manage their expectations realistically.

Wednesday 14 June – 6.30pm to 9.30pm - LIMITED TO 16 PLACES
Managing Players’ Behaviour

This CPD event will look to provide support, advice and guidance on how to effectively deal with players on match days and at training, whilst also aiming to manage the players using the four-corner model.

Thursday 13 July – 6.30pm to 9.30pm
An Effective Pre-Season Programme

All coaches at any level are always looking for new ways to improve their pre-season programme and we believe this CPD event can help with this. We aim to provide coaches with new ideas, insight and research on how to design an effective preseason programme for your team or club.

Tuesday 8 August – 6.30pm to 9.30pm

Formations and Tactics for 11v11, 9v9, 7v7 and 5v5

Whether its transition in age group or format or your simply after new ideas for your team on a match day this CPD night will be looking at formations, tactics and strategies around all the formats of football that have been taken from the relevant sections of the UEFA A and new UEFA B courses.
