New - Referees' Support Group Meetings

Liverpool County FA’s referees’ department is working in partnership with the Referees’ Association and Liverpool Referees’ Society to support new referees across Merseyside.

Following a recent meeting at Walton Hall Park, attended by the County FA’s referees’ team and officers of the Referees’ Association, Liverpool FA can confirm that the Liverpool Referees’ Society has arranged three meetings over the course of 2018 to support referees in the early stages of their careers.

New referees will be able to attend the meetings, held at Walton Hall Park, to seek advice on any problems they may have. These meetings will take place on the following dates – all starting at 6.30pm.

Thursday 29 March 2018
Wednesday 13 June 2018
Thursday 20 September 2018

FA tutors will lead on the night and ALL referees’ societies are invited to the meetings to discuss membership of the Referees’ Association.

Dave Horlick, Referee Development Manager at Liverpool FA, said: “It’s a great idea which will give extra support to new officials. It can be difficult when first starting your refereeing career, and the help and extra support the Referees’ Association can give in invaluable.”

Anybody wishing to attend a meeting, or requiring more information, can contact Dave Horlick via email at david.horlick@liverpoolfa.com or by phoning 0151 523 4488.
