In a brand-new regular feature here on the Liverpool County FA website, we’ll be focusing on a local game to bring insight and highlights to the grassroots football community across Merseyside.

To kick-off the new feature, we take a look at Dengo FC’s FA Sunday Cup quarter-final clash with Mayfair, which was played at Anfield Community and Sports Centre on Sunday 11 February.

A first-half brace was enough to see Mayfair through to the semi-finals of the competition, with Dengo netting a late consolation as the game finished 2-1. Mayfair will play Suffolk side Gym United at Solihull Moors’ Damson Park in the last-four.
