Brazil Girls U10s became the first team from Liverpool to be crowned National Futsal Champions when they picked up this year’s FA National Futsal Cup at Birmingham International Futsal Centre on Sunday 24 June.

Also representing Liverpool FA in this year’s competition was Brazil Girls U16s and Liverbird Futsal Boys U10s, with all three sides doing the county proud.

Liverbird made it into the final of the North West regional category, but closely missed out on the opportunity to reach the national finals. Meanwhile, having won their regional finals day in Manchester, Brazil U16s once again showed their class in Birmingham by winning all of their group games. However, they sadly faded away and lost their semi-final tie to the side which went on to become national champions.

With all three teams being coached and supported by Gareth Etchells from Liverbird Futsal Club, it was fitting that Brazil’s U10s went that one step further to become the 2018 FA National Youth Futsal champions.
