FEATURED GAME - Aigburth PH vs Alder (Liverpool Premier League)

IN A NEW REGULAR FEATURE HERE ON THE LIVERPOOL COUNTY FA WEBSITE, WE’LL BE FOCUSING ON A LOCAL GAME TO BRING INSIGHT AND HIGHLIGHTS TO THE GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL COMMUNITY ACROSS MERSEYSIDE.

In our third instalment, we take a look at Aigburth PH’s Liverpool Premier League encounter with Alder, which was played at Walton Hall Park on Saturday 17 March.

Despite Aigburth taking a 2-0 lead, Alder fought back brilliantly, with Peter Moore scoring two goals as Alder emerged 4-2 winners.

The game also formed part of Liverpool County FA’s referee exchange programme, with the match officials from Ireland having the opportunity to oversee a game on Merseyside.

Find out more about the two clubs via the videos below – and watch highlights (final two Alder goals unfortunately weren’t captured) from the game.

Aigburth PH are playing in the black-and-white striped shirts, with Alder in red and white.
