Women's Beginners / Back to Football League Launches for 2019/20

Players and teams invited to register for brand-new recreational league.

Liverpool County FA is delighted to announce the launch of our brand-new Women’s Beginners / Back to Football League for the 2019/20 season, with monthly fixtures taking place throughout the year.

Launched off the back of Liverpool FA’s successful Women’s Beginners / Back to Football Festivals, which were delivered across 2018/19, the new league will be the first recreational league specifically for female players that are beginners, or wanting to get back involved in the game.

The league will be hosted at Heron Eccles Football Centre, with fixtures taking place monthly on Sundays between 12.00pm and 3.00pm.

Registration is now open for teams, with a target of 10 teams signing to play in this 5-a-side competition.

Entry will cost £30 per league fixture date and you will play TWO games each Sunday, both 30-minutes in length.

The Women’s Beginners / Back to Football League is open to ANY women aged 18 and above. However, the league will run to the same ruling of Cheshire FA’s:

No players who are registered to play in women’s 11-a-side football in 2019/20 can participate.

Teams will be made up of a mixture of women (perhaps mums!) who are new to the game, or those that are looking to get back involved following a break. Existing teams participating consist of mums, coaches and returning players.

If you’re not part of a team, but want to play – get in touch and register! We can put you in touch with one of the teams, most of which run weekly training sessions too.
