Register Now: 2019 Zoe Tynan Tournament

Liverpool Feds Women’s Football Club is to host the third annual Zoe Tynan Tournament, a girls’ Under-10s and Under-12s 7-a-side tournament in memory of England Under-19 international Zoe Tynan, who tragically died in 2016.

Teams are currently welcome to register for the tournament, which is to be held on Saturday 18 May at Heron Eccles Football Centre’s (L18 7JS) 3G pitches. Games are to kick-off at 10.00am, with teams needing to arrive for registration at 9.30am.

Zoe joined Liverpool Feds as a six-year-old and it soon became obvious how committed she was to her football. Often asking technical or tactical questions beyond her years, Zoe was dedicated to improving herself and her team. Football was Zoe’s passion. She would often sign her name Zoe Zidane and would sleepwalk in her shin-pads.

Enjoying athletics alongside her football, Zoe attended the Everton Centre of Excellence, where the Blues recognised her talent and allowed her to progress to the next level of girls’ football. Zoe went on to represent England and played in the Women’s Super League for both Everton and Manchester City.

Despite moving up in the football world, Zoe wouldn’t forget her roots and often came back to coach at Liverpool Feds.
