Liverpool County FA Staff Show Support On Rainbow Laces Day

Team at Liverpool County FA don their rainbow laces on Rainbow Laces Day.

Today (Wednesday 27 November) is Rainbow Laces Day; a day in which the world of sport is uniting to support Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign.

Rainbow LacesThe campaign unites clubs, leagues and organisations in sport in promoting LGBTQ+ inclusion and to come together to eradicate discrimination of any kind.

As part of the campaign, Liverpool County FA has provided over 200 pairs of rainbow laces to clubs and officials across Merseyside, which will be worn in fixtures throughout the rainbow laces campaign, which runs between 22 November and 8 December.

We’re also delighted to have Mersey Marauders’ Secretary, Paul Williams, on board as our Rainbow Laces Ambassador this year, with the club once again showing their support.

In addition, this weekend’s fixture between St Helens Town and Ashton Town in the North West Counties Football League Division One North on Saturday 30 November has been designated as Liverpool County FA’s Showcase Game.
