Referee Update - September 2019

The latest information from the Liverpool County FA referee department.

REFEREE POOL OFFICER APPOINTED

Liverpool County FA is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Dibbert as the Association’s new Referee Pool Officer.

Over the course of the season, Ian will be supporting leagues through the appointment of match officials to meet any shortfall within their own referees panel.

Should a league require a match official, Ian can be contacted by emailing ian.dibbert.lcfa@gmail.com and he’ll do all he can to appoint a referee.

Any match official who wants to join a league’s panel of referees can either contact Ian via the address above, or Liverpool County FA’s Referee Development Manager, Dave Horlick, via david.horlick@liverpoolfa.com

They will provide details of leagues requiring referees – and from there if you’re after a game to officiate, email Ian.

REFEREES WANTED

Two well-run Sunday leagues – Walton and Kirkdale – currently require match officials for their Under-14 and Under-13s games, which are played at the Joe Stone Ground.

Meanwhile, the Tuebrook League are also in the same position, with their games played at Maiden Lane.

If you’re a referee that could help any of these leagues, please email david.horlick@liverpoolfa.com or steven.swinnerton@liverpoolfa.com for details.

OPEN AGE REFEREE OPPORTUNITIES

If you’re a referee that would like to officiate open age football on Sundays, the Liverpool Sunday League and Liverpool Business House League offer well-run football, with competitive matches played every weekend. If you have applied for promotion, refereeing in this league will be included within your 20 games.

For further information, please email david.horlick@liverpoolfa.com

THANK YOU

Finally – one behalf of everybody at Liverpool County FA, a huge thanks to all of our referees for the fantastic job that you do every weekend. Without you, we’d be lost.
