The Brain Charity launch Sixmas Appeal
Having a neurological condition means you are twice as likely to have depression or anxiety. You are also twice as likely to take your own life.
As a result of the pandemic, the number of people coming to The Brain Charity’s counselling service with suicidal thoughts has shot up by 50% and demand for services is at an all-time high.
The Brain Charity offers a counselling service specifically for those with neurological conditions as well as support groups and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy programmes.
Over the course of a year, giving £6 per month will provide three hours of lifesaving counselling sessions and support seven isolated people with befriending calls.
We encourage the Liverpool football family to support our partners The Brain Charity this Christmas.
The Brain Charity are also hosting a fundraising 1920s ball at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool on December 11, where guests will enjoy a three course meal and live music.
Head to thebraincharity.org.uk/ball for more details and to book your place.
