New Designated Safeguarding Officer Appointed

We’re delighted to announce Lisa Morrison as Liverpool County FA’s new Designated Safeguarding Officer.

Lisa will succeed our former Designated Safeguarding Officer, Lystra Landon, who departed Liverpool FA last month.

Lisa joins Liverpool FA from Liverpool City Council where she worked for 17 years across various departments in Social Care. Recently, she worked in the Family Support Service Department and, during her time at the Council, she oversaw quality assurance and compliance, delivered comprehensive training courses on safeguarding and prevention, and has an excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation.

"As a safeguarding practitioner with 17 years of experience, I am passionate about safeguarding, football and inclusion,” said Lisa.

“I welcome this opportunity with Liverpool FA and look forward to working with committed volunteers, ensuring football is safe and fun for all.”

Anthony Smith, Liverpool FA Chief Executive Officer, added: “I’m delighted to be able to welcome Lisa to the team. Throughout the recruitment process, Lisa has demonstrated a broad range of knowledge, experience and expertise that will prove a valuable asset to both Liverpool FA and the grassroots game locally.

“This is an important role for both Liverpool FA and grassroots football, in ensuring that football is safe for all participants.”
