Our Commitment to Play Safe
A MESSAGE FROM liverpool fa dso LISA MORRISON
Dear Grassroots Community,
I hope this message finds you well. As the Designated Safeguarding Officer at Liverpool County FA, I want to emphasise the importance of the Play Safe initiative, which ensures the safety and well-being of all participants in our sports programmes.
At your club, the safety of players is always the top priority, and you have a dedicated Club Welfare Officer to support you.
We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone can enjoy sports without fear of harm or abuse.
Key Points of “Play Safe”:
- Education and Awareness: We provide regular training sessions for coaches, staff, and volunteers on safeguarding practices and recognising signs of abuse or neglect.
- Clear Policies: Our safeguarding policies are easily accessible and outline the procedures for reporting concerns. We encourage everyone to familiarise themselves with these policies.
- Open Communication: We maintain open lines of communication for athletes, parents, and staff to report any concerns. Confidentiality is assured, and we take all reports seriously.
- Support Systems: We offer support services, including counselling and guidance, for anyone affected by safeguarding issues.
Please stay vigilant and report any concerns to me directly or through our reporting system. Empower your children to ask for help when they need it!
Together, we can ensure that our sports programs remain a safe and enjoyable space for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation and ongoing commitment to safeguarding.
Kind regards,
Lisa Morrison
