Safeguarding and Welfare

SAFEGUARDING IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY

Everyone in football has a responsibility to make our game safe and enjoyable.

This is particularly true for coaches. A coach is in a privileged position. The nature of the role means he/she can have significant influence over children and young people and develop relationships of trust with children and their parents/carers. It’s therefore important that coaches understand their safeguarding responsibilities.

Find out how The FA and the Liverpool FA manages safeguarding nationally and locally. You’ll also find detailed information on the game’s safeguarding strategy, and how it applies to you.
