Affiliation

Online affiliations for the 2018/19 season go live for clubs on Wednesday 25 April 2018.

Every club has to affiliate each season. Affiliation is the process by which clubs 'register' with their County Football Association.

For the third consecutive year, clubs will be able to use the FA Whole Game Administration System to affiliate to Liverpool FA.

FAQs

The Whole Game System (WGS) has been developed to aid the roles of volunteers within clubs and leagues, and is available to use 24/7 using your unique FAN (FA number) and password.

  • Add and update individual team details (age, gender, league, days of play, ground details etc.)
  • Enter teams in the season's County Cups
  • Pay online or alternatively request an invoice
  • Add club officials using their unique FAN number
  • Add and register club players using their unique FAN number

Enter https://wholegame.thefa.com into your browser. This will prompt you to log in using your FA number (FAN) and password.

The club affiliation portal is available to the Club Secretary, Chairman and Treasurer. Each person must use their unique FAN number and password to log in.

It is mandatory for the Chairperson, Secretary and Welfare Officer at your club to complete a FREE online safeguarding course.

For 2018/19, The FA has extended the mandatory completion of this course to include Club Treasurers.

Treasurers are now required to complete the Online Committee Safeguarding Workshop in order to affiliate for the 2018/19 season. If this is not completed, a club will not be able to successfully affiliate.

If you have new volunteers coming to the Chairperson, Secretary or Welfare Officer role(s), then please ensure they too complete the Safeguarding Course for Club Committee Members.

Coaches who are coaching youth teams (Under-18s and below) must have an in date FA Criminal Record Check (CRC) in order for your club to affiliate.

FA CRCs last for three years from the date of issue, therefore if your coaches have or are due to expire please ensure that they renew it by clicking here

For the 2018/19 season, affiliation is required by the dates below to ensure you are entered into the appropriate Liverpool FA County Cup:

Adult County Cups – Friday 18th August by 5.00pm
Youth County Cups – Friday 15th September by 5.00pm 


Clubs returning their application after this date will not be entered into the appropriate County Cup.

It is now a MANDATORY requirement for teams (Youth & Adult) to have the appropriate Personal Accident Insurance in place for each team within the club has. 

The FA's preferred appointed broker is Bluefin Sport.

This policy certificate is required to be uploaded on Whole Game in order to process your affiliation.

All clubs are required to have the appropriate Public Liability Insurance in place for affiliation. Don’t worry - this can be purchased through Liverpool FA via the Whole Game portal, as in previous years. If your club already has the appropriate Public Liability Insurance in place, you can upload the certificate through the portal.

For the 2018/19 season, all affiliations will be done using the online Whole Game System which will aid volunteers and save time on completing paperwork.

Please complete the New Club – Whole Game Registration Form and return to steven.swinnerton@liverpoolfa.com   

Once we’ve received this we will set you up ready to affiliate using the Whole Game System.
