Governance

Corporate Governance – Always Moving Forward.

As the game continues to evolve, we know that our corporate governance needs to stay ahead of the curve. Liverpool FA are proud to be transparent and clear with our governance and our strategy, and we strive to be “Always Moving Forward”. By the end of 2024 will aim to achieve ‘Code of Governance for County Football Associations’ status which is the gold standard for sports governance.

Our Board of Directors lead the way on managing the direction of our governance structure, and maintain ultimate accountability. Alongside our Board, our in-house Senior Leadership Team, consisting of our Chief Executive Officer, Designated Safeguarding Officer, Business Manager, Head of Development and Head of Football Services, run the day-to-day activities of the business. Information on both our Board and Staff can be found here.

Furthermore, we strive to ensure a 'for all' approach to grassroots football and operate Independent Advisory Groups for the following areas; Competitions, Youth Council, Women and Girls, Refereeing, and Inclusion. Each of the Advisory Groups has an Independent Chair, as well as a non-voting member of the Liverpool FA in an advisory position.
