Setting up a club

Setting up a Club

Setting up a Club

The vast majority of football throughout the country is played at a local level for personal enjoyment.

Before starting up a new club, you should ask:

  • Are there enough potential players?
  • Are there enough volunteers to run the club?

Each individual club require specific roles within the club for both adult and youth.

To be able to participate in organised football or play in leagues, you must affiliate to your County FA.

This is not a difficult task and we can provide any advice you need.

Guidance booklet

We have created a 'Setting up a Club' booklet which has links to downloads and resources to support you setting up your club or team. In this resource you can find information on becoming an England Football Accredited club, links to policies and procedures you will need, as well as things to think about on a match day once up and running.
