Reason for the Advisory Board Delegations

To enable Liverpool FA to utilise the varied skillsets, knowledge, experience, and opinions of our stakeholders, to inform the strategic direction of the Liverpool FA policies and procedures.

Advisory Boards provide a supportive and counsel role for the Liverpool FA Board, and are non-decision-making. They are required to meet any governance requirements for their specific remit from The FA Code of Governance, which may change from time to time.

What would I be doing?

Football Advisory Boards operate in an advisory capacity providing strategy, insights and information from Liverpool FA’s stakeholders directly into the Liverpool FA Board, to inform the decision-making process and delivery of Liverpool FA’s business plan and projects. 

Advisory Boards may be permanent in structure or set up specifically to advise on a standalone project.

You can also find out more about the specific skillsets and roles of EACH advisory group here. To ensure transparency and a diverse & fair process, members can only be involved with ONE Advisory Group at a time. 

Notes regarding membership of the Advisory Groups

• Advisory Boards shall comprise between 5 and 20 members, with specific criteria set according to their remit. 
• Advisory Board Meetings will be held quarterly, plus an annual Advisory Board Review meeting with the Board of Directors.
• These roles are subject to an enhanced disclosure barring application (DBS), which will be provided by Liverpool FA. 
• To ensure relevant independence, members can join only ONE Advisory Group at a time.
