Merseyside's Ian Hussin to Officiate FA Cup Final

Liverpool County FA is delighted to announce that Merseyside assistant referee, Ian Hussin, is to run the line at this year’s Emirates FA Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester United on 19 May 2018 at Wembley.

Ian’s appointment comes after he was named reserve assistant at this year’s Carabao Cup final. Ian progressed through the referee development pathway at Liverpool County FA and continues to be involved in the development of fellow grassroots referees across Merseyside.

Liverpool County FA would like to congratulate Ian on his appointment and wishes him the best of luck in May’s final.

The referee for the FA Cup final is Michael Oliver, who will be assisted by Ian and Lee Betts. The fourth official will be Lee Mason, with the reserve assistant referee names as Constantine Hatzidakis.

The FA Cup final will also see VAR utilised, with Neil Swarbrick the Video Assistant Referee and Mick McDonough as his Assistant VAR.
