Between 21 and 23 September 2018, Liverpool County FA will be hosting three referees representing the Danish FA, as part of a UEFA/FA Referee Exchange Programme.
Throughout the Danes’ time on Merseyside, the referees will take charge of games involving Liverpool FA-affiliated teams on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September, in addition to receiving coaching from The FA’s referee coaches.
Later this year, in October, referees from The FA’s CORE (Centre of Refereeing Excellence) programme will travel to Denmark to officiate games overseas and work with Danish referee coaches; providing a great insight into refereeing games in different footballing cultures.
Dave Horlick, Referee Development Manager at Liverpool County FA, said: “We are delighted to host this event once again in Liverpool and look forward to welcoming referees from Denmark.
“The benefits for those taking part, both from Denmark and England, have enhanced every official who has taken part in the programme, notably Helen Byrne, who has recently moved on to the FIFA List of Assistant Referees.”
