Girls' Football Week

It's Back - Get Involved in Girls' Football Week

Liverpool County FA is excited to announce that Girls’ Football Week, this year run in partnership with Disney, is back for 2018, with the opening week of action taking place between Monday 23 April and Sunday 29 April.

Girls’ Football Week is a national campaign, aimed at raising the profile of female football as The FA targets doubling the number of women and girls playing the game by 2020.

Liverpool County FA is encouraging clubs, schools, universities, colleges, sports and community centres, and other organisations to register any planned activities for Girls’ Football Week.

The seven-day campaign will encourage girls of all experience and ability to take part in football and use the sport as a fun and social way to stay active – as well as an opportunity to find a new squad of friends.

This year, Disney is supporting The FA by creating a range of resources, which will use Disney storytelling to deliver football-related activities.

Organisations can register their on-going activities as part of the week – or start something brand-new to kick-start girls’ football. The week is a great opportunity to showcase female football at every level and inspire new players and volunteers.
