Liverpool County Football Association is pleased to confirm the dates for this year’s eagerly-anticipated Football Futures Camp – so make a note in your calendar!
Thursday 31 May and Friday 1 June 2018
10.00am – 4.00pm
Liverpool County FA, Walton Hall Park, Liverpool, L4 9XP
Open to any young person aged between 14 and 21 years.
The Liverpool FA Football Futures Camp is a two-day event for young people who have the desire, commitment and determination to inspire others through their love of football. The Association is welcoming applications from any young person aged between 14-21 who are looking to gain experience, knowledge and qualifications in football. Liverpool FA is especially keen to hear from young people who are either currently or wishing to volunteer within the game, as the Football Futures camp will be the foundation stone for your football journey.
The two days will give young people exposure to the camp’s special guests, who have made it to the top of their chosen profession. These hand-selected professionals will deliver a range of exciting, practical, interactive and engaging workshops from whom it is hoped the county’s young leaders will be truly inspired by. Guests will include Premier League match officials, England senior squad representatives, FA coaches and specialists working within professional football clubs.
The Liverpool FA Football Futures Camp will also act as a selection process for The FA Leadership Academy 2018 National Camp. This is a week-long event in July, where over 100 young volunteers will descend upon The FA's prestigious St Georges Park for an amazing experience covering coaching, refereeing, disability football, futsal and more.
Wayne Wardle, Player and Coach Development Officer at Liverpool FA, said: “We’ve had young people attend our camp progress onto national camps, and are now in full-time employment within football. This is a fantastic opportunity for any young volunteer looking to take their first steps on their football journey.”
Liverpool County FA will be releasing details of how people can apply to be a part of the 2018 Football Futures Camp shortly – so check back on the Association’s website and ensure you’re following @Liverpool_CFA on Twitter and like the Liverpool County Football Association Facebook page.
