County FA to Host Level 1 in Goalkeeper Coaching Course

This July, Liverpool County FA will be hosting a Level 1 in Goalkeeper Coaching course at St John Bosco School Arts College in Croxteth, for grassroots coaches keen to enhancing their knowledge to specifically coach shot-stoppers.

Bookings are being taken NOW for the course, which starts on Saturday 7 July at 9.00am. Places are available at £150 each.

Following the opening day of the course, two further days of learning will take place on the following dates, with attendance at each compulsory in order to obtain the qualification:

Saturday 14 July - 9.00am-5.00pm
Saturday 21 July - 9.00am-5.00pm

The FA Level 1 in Coaching Goalkeepers provides learners with an introduction to coaching the game and working with goalkeepers of all ages.

Learners will gain an insight into the game in England, how it is played and how they can coach to better support the development of future goalkeepers. The course is designed to prepare learners to coach goalkeepers at grassroots level.

Through the completion of the learning programme for this course, learners will be introduced to the practical and theoretical aspects of planning, delivering and reviewing individual football coaching sessions for goalkeepers. The foundation level of knowledge and skills developed through this course will enable learners to create safe, fun and engaging coaching sessions through building, developing and extending a series of linked practices.
