Everton Ladies Set For New Walton Home

Exciting news will see facilities developed at Liverpool County FA, which will benefit grassroots community.

Everton Ladies are aiming to move to a new home in Walton early in the 2019/20 campaign - with a mid-October date proposed for the team’s relocation from Southport.

Everton Ladies played at Southport FC’s Merseyrail Community Stadium during 2018/19 after four years at Widnes’ Halton Stadium. The site in Walton Hall Park is home to Liverpool County FA and, in partnership with Liverpool City Council and The FA, has supported the proposals to upgrade the facilities.

These proposals will not affect the current long-term leaseholder arrangements between the County FA and the Council.

Liverpool County FA is excited to be working in partnership with Everton Ladies, with the planned facility developments set to benefit the Merseyside grassroots community that utilises Walton Hall Park, whilst we’re also excited at the prospect of hosting elite women’s football.

Everton plans to upgrade the existing facilities with the construction a new 500-seater stand, which will include VIP and press sections. A permanent TV gantry would be installed, while standing areas would be upgraded to enable supporters to watch from all sides of the pitch.

The move, which is subject to FA approval, planning permission from Liverpool City Council and receipt of a grant from the Football Foundation, would also see new dug outs and turnstiles added to the ground.

Liverpool County FA will provide further updates as the project progresses.
