Liverpool FA is committed to providing support to all of its registered referees.

Below is the latest information issued as March's update for county officials. 

JOIN US FOR REFEREE FITNESS SESSIONS
On the last Tuesday of every month, join us at Walton Hall Park from 6.30pm for FREE fitness training for Liverpool FA referees. 

ALL referees, regardless of age or level, are welcome to join us. Just turn up on the night and get involved. It’s a great way to boost your fitness for overseeing games – and for socialising with your fellow Liverpool FA referees.

WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK TO HELP YOUNG OFFICIALS
Last season, Liverpool FA hosted a number of call-back evenings for new referees across the region. Despite this offering, it was something that didn’t work particularly well – however, we’re committed to ensuring that young referees have the support available that they need.

With that in mind – we want YOUR help.

We’re keen to continue engaging with our referees. Age is no barrier when it comes to the support that we deliver; so we would love to hear your thoughts on how we could better engage with ALL of our referees.

HERE TO HELP
ANY issue, whether it be big or small, relating to refereeing – let the Liverpool FA Referee Department know. 

Whether it be reporting, officials looking for leagues to work with or something else – we’re here to help.

We’re aware that a lot of officials across the county have a circle of colleagues that offer support, which is great – it’s one of the brilliant things about our referees. We’re also here to assist those support groups, so get in touch.

We value EVERY single referee and will support you through your career. However, if we’re not aware there’s an issue – we can’t fix it – so please get in touch.

LEAGUE SUPPORT
Any league across Merseyside that would like Liverpool FA’s Referee Development Manager, Dave Horlick, to attend their referee meetings can arrange for him to do so.

REFEREE PROMOTIONS
The deadline for referee promotions is fast approaching, so all Merseyside officials eager to apply are encouraged to get their applications in as soon as possible.

HAVE YOU JOINED THE REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION?
The Liverpool FA Referees Department strongly recommends that all registered Liverpool FA referees sign up to become a member of the Referees’ Association.

The advice, support and help that the Association’s members get is second-to-none and compliments the range of support on offer from Liverpool FA.
