Everybody at Liverpool County FA has been saddened to hear of the passing of Tommy Caton.

Tommy will have been known to many involved in grassroots football across Merseyside, predominantly through his role as a long-serving and highly valued referee.

Off the pitch, Tommy was a true gentleman and you would have struggled to have met a nicer man.

Tommy’s passing is a sad loss for everybody within the local football community and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Tommy’s funeral is to be held at St George’s in Maghull on Friday 6 September at 2.00pm. All are welcome to attend.
