Liverpool County FA Update - End of Season

A statement from Liverpool County FA following The FA's decision to prematurely end the season.

Following on from The FA’s announcement that all grassroots football is to be concluded, our adult and youth leagues are now confirming with the clubs within their leagues what they have decided to do to finish the season.

Liverpool County FA has had no influence on the decisions made by each league.

Whatever decision is made by a league, Liverpool County FA will support and work with them going forward in planning for next season. Obviously, clubs are asking about refunds of money for league fees, pitch fees, affiliation and discipline.

League fees are a matter for individual leagues to decide, as this is a payment made to them. It also has to be taken into consideration that there has been football played, therefore any potential refund would possibly be based on this. As for pitch fees, we are aware that Local Authorities and facility providers are looking at this and will contact all leagues and clubs regarding potential refunds or discount for next season.

Liverpool County FA have already released all details regarding discipline. Please click here for details in full.

The County FA will not be refunding the affiliation or league sanction fees for 2019/2020. We understand that the season has ended prematurely; however, there has been football played and those costs cover this period. All details for the 2020/2021club affiliation and league sanction process will be sent out soon.

The start date for each of these has been moved back, due to the current situation plus necessary changes to the Whole Game System data being carried out by The FA.
