Frank Ray

Liverpool County FA deeply saddened to learn of dedicated grassroots servant's passing.

It is with great sadness that Liverpool County FA has learned of the passing of Liverpool Old Boys Amateur League President, Frank Ray.

Frank was a wonderful servant to Merseyside grassroots football, particularly to the Liverpool Old Boys Amateur League. Playing in the league for many years as a member of Old Bootleians, Frank later turned his hand to refereeing, in addition to becoming treasurer of the league in 1980-81.

He served as treasurer until 2012-13, before remaining on the committee for a number of seasons, taking on the role of President in more recent years.

Frank will be dearly missed.

Everybody from Liverpool County FA would like to send their condolences to Frank’s family and friends at this difficult time.
