Liverpool County FA Statement - Affiliation, Sanctions and Cup Entry 2020-21

Liverpool County FA Chairperson Ian Wild has issued a statement with regards to the cost of affiliation, sanction and cup entry for 2020-21 season.

Liverpool County FA Chairperson, Ian Wild, has today issued a statement with regards to affiliation, sanction and cup entry, which will be free-of-charge for the 2020-21 season.

In responding to the challenges provided by the COVID-19 crisis, Liverpool County FA Chairperson Ian Wild, said: "I'm incredibly thankful to the Liverpool County FA Board, The FA and Sport England for enabling the return to football in 2020/2021 to be significantly reduced in price.

"I know that this will be warmly welcomed by our members, who we are working hard to support in many ways during this difficult time."

"Today's announcement is strictly related to Liverpool County FA affiliation, sanction and cup entry fees for the 2020/2021 season and does not include Public Liability Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance.

"Clubs and leagues will need to purchase the Public Liability Insurance through the Whole Game System and the Personal Accident Insurance through the National Game Insurance Scheme during the period of affiliation and sanctioning.

"We are currently working on the final details of affiliation and sanctioning for the 2020/21 season, plus the details of both processes including the launch date, which will be announced in due course. I can also assure you that we are working tirelessly on your behalf to introduce other initiatives depending upon the financial position of the county.

"We are desperate to be able to provide you with further information about when and how football can resume. We are awaiting further information from the Government and The FA on this matter. Please be assured that when we have any updated information available to us, we will notify all involved in grassroots football in Liverpool County FA boundaries as soon as possible."
