Dave Horlick to Hang Up His Flags and Whistle

Long-serving Referee Development Manager to depart Liverpool County FA in January 2021.

It is with sadness that Liverpool County FA announces that long-serving Referee Development Manager, Dave Horlick, is to depart the Association on 15 January 2021.

After 16 years of dedicated service, Dave will be hanging up his flags and whistle to focus on spending time with his grandchildren and his wife, Gill.

During those 16 years of incredible service, Dave has overseen the development of a number of officials from grassroots level through to the highest echelons of the game.

Always on hand to provide help, support and advice to any grassroots referee, Dave’s knowledge and expertise has been invaluable to the Association as we look to ensure that the Merseyside region continues to produce referees of the highest standard.

Simply put, Dave is a legend of the refereeing world and he will be sorely missed by everybody at Liverpool County FA.

Despite stepping away from his role as Referee Development Manager at Liverpool County FA, Dave will be continuing to serve the county as a volunteer, and will look forward to meeting the many friends he has made over the years out and about on football pitches across the region.

Everybody at Liverpool County FA would like to offer their enormous thanks to Dave for his incredible service over the years and wishes him and his family nothing but the best in the future. He will be a friend to us all for life.
