The FA Launch Two New Online Safeguarding Courses

The courses are open to anyone involved in grassroots football.

The two new online courses, 'Safeguarding For All' and 'Safeguarding Children', are designed to equip you with the knowledge on how to make the grassroots game a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Available to complete online via The Boot Room, both courses can be completed at a time and pace that suits you.

The 'Safeguarding For All' course provides a basic overview of the best and worst safeguarding practises, which will help you to safeguard children. If you have not completed a safeguarding qualification before, this course is an ideal starting point.

The 'Safeguarding Children Course' provides a more in-depth insight into safeguarding for all club representatives, coaches, referees and managers. Throughout the nine-course modules, you'll learn about how to deliver a secure environment for young people through a variety of interactive activities and questionnaires.

Alongside the introduction of the new safeguarding courses, The FA has also announced that their 'Welfare Officers Course' has now re-opened and is accepting new applicants. This course is mandatory for anyone wanting to be a Welfare Officer for their grassroots club or league.
