We would like to remind clubs, players, coaches, match officials, league officials, volunteers, parents, carers and facility providers that all grassroots football is currently suspended.
Following reports of organised football taking place this weekend, we implore everyone to follow the UK Government’s current national COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
We welcomed the UK Government’s update on Monday 22 February and look forward to the safe return of grassroots football from the 29 March for both adults and children.
We are already in dialogue with local authorities, facility providers and leagues in advance of grassroots football’s safe return. However, until further guidance is provided by the UK Government and The FA, all fixtures and training remain suspended.
We would like to thank those within the football community who continue to observe current COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, particularly during an incredibly challenging period for both the game and wider society.
