Voice of the Child 2021 Survey

As part of our survey, we want to hear from all U18s about their views, opinions and feelings about returning to playing football.

At Liverpool County Football Association (LCFA), we are truly committed to supporting young people participating in football, whether as a player, coach, referee, or spectator.

We want to continue to build and develop a better and safer experience of our beautiful game for children and young people. So, to do that we need YOU!

We need to know from U18s how they are feeling about returning to playing football, especially during the ongoing Covid pandemic and subsequent lockdowns.

How is their experience of playing football during training and in matches, officiating or watching football with coaches, players, and spectators? Is it enjoyable and positive? Or are there aspects that they do not like and would like to change?

We want to provide an opportunity for U18s to feed back in an open and honest way. So, that through listening to children and youth people, lessons are learned. So, that they can play football, free from the fear of bullying, harassment, discrimination, or abuse in all its forms.

The information they provide will enable us to continue to develop and improve ways to keep football safe and fun for all.

Please could adults encourage all children/young people to take a few moments to complete the ‘Voice of the Child 2021 Survey' as an U18 player, coach, referee, or spectator. This way they can help us to help them and shape the decisions we make about grassroots football. Thank you for your support!

Lystra Landon – Designated Safeguarding Officer at Liverpool County FA said: "As LCFA, we recognize the challenges our children and young people have faced during the pandemic. So, we feel it’s important to continue to support every child/young person in the game. We want them to have a positive return to football and ensure that it safe and enjoyable. The ‘Voice of the Child 2021 Survey' allows us to gain vital feedback on children and young peoples’ experiences and crucially their views on how we can improve. We are eager to start the conversation! And look forward to receiving the responses and hearing the results."

Please note that we will be offering a prize to whichever club gets the most players to complete the survey. The team with the most completed entries will receive a £100 voucher to spend at Discount Football Kits.
