Liverpool County FA is pleased to announce appointments to our Referee Development Team.

Following the review of refereeing that has been completed, one of the actions was to create a Referee Development Team who will support the development of our referees, working closely with myself to make refereeing the best it possibly can be. 

The recruitment process resulted in a range of applicants from across the local refereeing world, following shortlisting, and interviews we believe we have an incredibly strong team that will help us make a real difference to referees locally. 

The group will come together for the first time on Wednesday 20 October, to set out an initial road map which will be shared with our referees to show collectively what the team are aiming to achieve and where the much-needed support will be being targeted to support our referees. 

We are delighted to announce that the following roles have been appointed:

Appointments Co-Ordinator – David Nugent
Mentor Lead – Mark Shaw
Women’s Referee Lead – Magda Golba
County CORE Lead – George Cain
County CORE Assistant – Callum Jones

There are still two roles which remain vacant:

BAME Referee Lead
Observer Co-Ordinator/Developer
