FA Youth Retention Hub to launch in March

We are launching an FA Youth Retention Hub to help stop players dropping out of football.

The FA Youth Retention Hub launches on Sunday 6th March. The aim of the project is to create a more competitive football opportunity for low level teams playing within high level leagues.

The project initially is for 10 weeks and will act as a trial to see if it acts as an intervention which helps prevent teams and individuals from dropping out of the game.

The Hub will trial two age-related bands by grouping players by ability for the first two weeks followed by an eight-week festival, which will begin once teams are placed into suitable categories.

We welcome low level teams from U13s and U14s football to play in the U14 category, and low-level teams from U15s and U16s to play in the U16 category.

This project is ideal for players who have either not played before, or those who are looking to get back into football after time away.

The cost for each player is £3 a week and sessions will run on Sunday afternoons from 2pm to 5pm.
