Football Foundation Funding for 2022 confirmed

Congratulations to all the clubs who successfully applied for Football Foundation funding for this year!

Clubs from across the Liverpool County FA area have been awarded millions of pounds in grants by the Football Foundation to go towards new facilities to benefit the community.

We are working hard to build on this funding and continue to support our members in securing further investment.

GRASS PITCH IMPROVEMENTS

In addition to the above, six local authorities have confirmed they will be taking part in the Local Authority Grass Pitch Improvement. These are: Knowsley, Halton, Liverpool, Sefton, Warrington and St Helens.

Although this project is currently in its early stages, the aim is to find a way of how The FA and Football Foundation can support Local Authorities in improving the quality of their pitch stock.

FOOTBALL FOUNDATION NEW FUNDING CYCLE (June 2022 – May 2025)

We are working with all local authorities to produce a pipeline of projects over the next three years, including new 3G pitches, changing rooms, grass pitch improvements and indoor/recreational spaces. The UK Government have committed a further £205m towards grassroots football facilities, and we are working incredibly hard to ensure our clubs and leagues benefit from this investment.
