New Safeguarding Section Launched
SAFEGUARDING IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY
The on-going work to make the game as safe and enjoyable as possible, is led by the FA, English football's governing body, and is delivered through Liverpool County FA in conjunction with leagues and clubs across Merseyside.
As part of our role to support all those involved in football, we have updated the Safeguarding and Welfare section of the LCFA website.
LCFA recognise that time is precious and, as a result, have streamlined safeguarding information by creating easy-access dedicated sections for all participants.
Safeguarding for Parents and Carers
Safeguarding for Adults and Open-Age Football
Safeguarding for Clubs and Leagues
Kids Zone - Resources for children and young people
Each of these new sections has relevant advice and information for the local grassroots football community.
Our update has also seen the launch of a new section specifically for Parents/Carers of all those children and young people who play football within the area. Included within this is information about ‘Play Safe’, an ongoing national campaign to focus attention on the vital importance of safeguarding in football. There are number of videos to help everyone understand the part they can play in keeping the game safe.
LCFA's Designated Safeguarding Officer, Lystra Landon, said: "In ensuring we continue to meet the FA Safeguarding Standards and raise safeguarding awareness in our game, we have conducted a comprehensive review of our Safeguarding and Welfare section of our website.
"I would therefore encourage all players, parents, officials, clubs, and leagues, to familiarise themselves with the information and resources under their respective safeguarding sections."
