Our new Facility Investment Manager is Amy Horne. Amy joins Liverpool FA from Leisure United where she worked for four years, reaching a General Manager position. She has worked across two of the hub sites across the city, including Heron Eccles and Jeffrey Humble, overseeing the centres’ daily operations in both their gym and football departments.
Amy also has direct involvement in grassroots football at Liverpool FA from her time representing Liverpool Youth Council in 2012, and she has gone on to continue her journey throughout the sporting industry.
“It’s great to be back and working with the staff who once introduced me to the sport back in 2012. I’m excited to begin a new role in the company and see what new developments we can get up and running across the city,” said Amy.
We’re also delighted to introduce Ellie Fox as our new Women & Girls Football Development Officer.
Ellie has been involved with Liverpool FA for several years as a volunteer and has been instrumental in supporting the development of our Amnesty International Programme, which sees female refugee and asylum seekers given the opportunity to play football, make friends and integrate into our community. Ellie is Head Coach at Comforts Angel’s where the ladies play in Liverpool FA’s monthly She Inspires League.
Ellie said: “It’s fantastic to be given the opportunity to join Liverpool FA, especially during such an exciting time for the female game, and I’m looking forward to developing the female game even more across Merseyside.”
We’re really excited to have recruited staff of the calibre of Amy and Ellie, and look forward to working with them as we continue to make sure football is a game for everyone across our region.
