Liverpool FA Football Development Officer (Male Pathway), Mark Horlick hopes these new leagues will decrease the number of players dropping out of football as they reach their adult years.

"Over the years we have seen a massive drop out in male football of players over 16," he said.

"We are hoping the introduction of the Saturday U18 and Sunday U18 & U21 division will keep those players playing the game. It will also give these players an extra couple of years playing within their age before they progress to open age football.

We would like to thank the Liverpool Premier League & Liverpool Business House league for their hard work and commitment and we look forward to working with the leagues and supporting those teams transitioning into U18 football.”
