Reach your health and fitness goals this summer with EuroFIT

Are you looking for a way to get in shape and improve your health while still enjoying your favourite sport? Look no further!

This summer, Liverpool County FA and Active Halton are hosting a FREE 12-week physical activity and weight management programme designed for football fans just like you.

According to research, many men find it challenging to maintain a healthy weight due to sedentary lifestyles, the availability and affordability of junk food and a lack of motivation; and football fans are no exception.

In response, Liverpool County FA and Active Halton have partnered with Healthy Stadia to deliver a comprehensive programme that combines physical activity, nutritional education with behavioural coaching.

Liverpool County FA will host our programme at our new base in Sefton, whilst Active Halton will host theirs at the Frank Myler Pavilion in Widnes.

The programme – called EuroFIT – helps overweight men aged 30-65 to get active, lose weight and feel better through the power of sport. Participants will learn how to set short and long-term goals so help develop and maintain healthy habits long after the programme has been completed.

EuroFIT consist of weekly group sessions led by qualified coaches who will guide participants through a series of theory-based activities around physical activity, nutrition, and alcohol consumption and a fitness component that consists of increasing step count week by week with a view to getting men back into playing five-a-side or walking football.

The programme is a great opportunity to meet like-minded football fans, form new social connections and share hints and tips on how to make positive changes, making it easier to stay motivated and accountable.
